Pan con tomate topped with Balsamic Pearls

A great midday snack, or served as part of a tapas evening! Leave your tomatoes out at room temperature for maximum flavour 🍅 Our Balsamic Pearls add a burst of fruity-herby acidity.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of rustic bread (such as ciabatta or sourdough)
  • 1 cloves of garlic, peeled and halved
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Sea salt
  • Blackberry & Thyme Balsamic Pearls
  • Optional: fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Method:
  1. Cut the tomatoes in half. If you prefer a smoother texture, you can grate the tomatoes using a box grater, discarding the skin. 
  2. Drizzle the bread with olive oil and salt, and bake in the oven until golden 
  3. While the bread is still warm, take the halved garlic cloves and rub them over the surface of each slice.
  4. Spoon the tomato pulp evenly over each slice of bread.
  5. Drizzle extra virgin olive oil, salt and Balsamic Pearls generously over each slice.
