Pan con tomate topped with Balsamic Pearls
A great midday snack, or served as part of a tapas evening! Leave your tomatoes out at room temperature for maximum flavour 🍅 Our Balsamic Pearls add a burst of fruity-herby acidity.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of rustic bread (such as ciabatta or sourdough)
- 1 cloves of garlic, peeled and halved
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Sea salt
- Blackberry & Thyme Balsamic Pearls
- Optional: fresh basil or parsley for garnish
- Cut the tomatoes in half. If you prefer a smoother texture, you can grate the tomatoes using a box grater, discarding the skin.
- Drizzle the bread with olive oil and salt, and bake in the oven until golden
- While the bread is still warm, take the halved garlic cloves and rub them over the surface of each slice.
- Spoon the tomato pulp evenly over each slice of bread.
- Drizzle extra virgin olive oil, salt and Balsamic Pearls generously over each slice.
